Victoria Calvatone
3D Visualization of Victoria Calvatone is a computer graphics project that presents an ancient Roman bronze statue inside a Roman interior of The Hermitage Museum. The statue was first scanned, then modeled, textured, animated and rendered with digital sculpting and rendering software. The work reproduces the aged bronze surface and the color of the original figure, which is 170 centimeters high. Still images and video files were produced. The visualization forms part of a research and restoration process.
Victoria Calvatone 3D Visualisation by Larisa Zolotova was recognized as a grand illustration of communication design by the A' Design Award. Victoria Calvatone 3D Visualisation earned the Bronze A' Design Award in Computer Graphics, 3D Modeling, Texturing, and Rendering Design in 2020. The A' Computer Graphics, 3D Modeling, Texturing, and Rendering Design Award is a highly prestigious international design accolade which celebrates excellent design of animations, simulations, game designs, virtual reality models, architectural renderings, infographics, digital illustrations, 3D character models and more.
