Future Tribes
Future Tribes is an event space design created for Centrestage, a four-day fashion show in Hong Kong that presented 240 brands within a 9000 square metre venue. The design covers the entrance concourse, a central display and a catwalk area. The visual language mixes traditional cultural symbols, such as runes, hieroglyphs and tattoos, with new technology. Holographic fan displays, LED screens and moving triangular lights are used. All elements were prefabricated off site and assembled on site in three days.
Future Tribes Event Organiser Space by Hong Kong Trade Development Council has been highlighted as an exceptional illustration of service design by the A' Design Awards. Future Tribes Event Organiser Space earned the Bronze A' Design Award in Event and Happening Design in 2021. The A' Event and Happening Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design recognition program that honors outstanding design of trade fairs, award ceremonies, festivals, conferences, exhibitions, concerts, product launches, charity events and more.
