Display of Guilin Scenery is a toothpaste package created for a brand based in Guilin, China. Two local landscapes, the Li River and the Longsheng terraced fields, are illustrated in a traditional Chinese painting style to show the origin of the product and its natural character. The outer box is made of 350 gram white cardboard with matt lamination and a transparent ultraviolet coating. The tube combines plastic and aluminium layers. Rather than stressing function alone, the design builds a familiar visual link with scenery known to many consumers.
Landscape Toothpaste Package by Longsheng Zhong has been recognized as an outstanding representation of communication design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Landscape Toothpaste Package received the Iron A' Design Award in Packaging Design in 2021. The A' Packaging Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design competition which recognizes superior design of bottles, boxes, cans, pouches, tubes, cartons, wrappers, bags and more.
