Lazarus Effekt
Lazarus Effekt is a set of campaign illustrations created for a cross-media awareness campaign about the Lazarus effect. The Lazarus effect, a term coined by paleontologist David Jablonski, describes the rediscovery of a life form once considered lost or extinct. The illustrations show plants and animals that have been found again. Each figure is drawn as a black and white vector graphic and is rich in detail, so viewers can discover more with a longer look. The large prints act as a visual key that links posters, flyers, banners and information graphics.
Lazarus Effekt Campaign Illustrations by Lara Wilkin has been featured as a grand example of communication design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Lazarus Effekt Campaign Illustrations was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design in 2021. The A' Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design Award is a highly prestigious international design award which celebrates exceptional design of logos, posters, infographics, brochures, packaging designs, business cards, book covers, billboards and more.
