Island Rain
The brand and can designs for Omaha Brewing Company’s newest product, Island Rain, is inspired by island and beach-themed typography and subtly incorporates existing elements that can be easily distinguishable by those familiar to OBC, but not key to understanding the new spiked seltzer brand. The clean, crisp, white can is contrasted with splashes of color establishing a design language intended to target a younger consumer with easily identifiable flavors. Sold in an international market, Island Rain and Omaha Brewing Company look to positively impact the growing spiked seltzer market.
Island Rain Packaging by Nicholas McMillan has been highlighted as a grand example of communication design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Island Rain Packaging received the Bronze A' Design Award in Packaging Design in 2021. The A' Packaging Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design recognition program which honors superior design of bottles, boxes, cans, pouches, tubes, cartons, wrappers, bags and more.
