Doplor Sleep

Doplor Sleep is a sleep monitoring application for hospital use. The application records environmental sounds with the microphone of a smartphone. Algorithms then classify each sound into categories such as medical alarms, speech, incidental sounds and snoring. Sleep data is collected from a connected sleep tracker and combined with the sound data in a daily report. Simple illustrations show sound levels and sleep stages on one timeline. The aim is to make patients and medical staff aware of noise as a cause of poor sleep in hospitals.

Doplor Sleep Sleep Monitoring Mobile Application by Yiling Liu has been featured as a creative representation of communication design by the A' Design Awards. Doplor Sleep Sleep Monitoring Mobile Application earned the Iron A' Design Award in Mobile Technologies, Applications and Software Design in 2021.
