Pictomato Bern City Map

Pictomato Bern City Map is an illustrated advertising campaign created to introduce a new independent design studio. The map shows well known sights of Bern together with personal recommendations. Selected pins on the map explain the working philosophy and the skills of the studio, and each pin is described in the legend. The design also serves as a decorative poster. The individual illustrations were reused for a series of postcards, an animation and a social media campaign. All artwork was drawn in Adobe Illustrator.

Pictomato Bern City Map Advertisment Campaign by Mathias Zimmermann was featured as an innovative illustration of communication design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Pictomato Bern City Map Advertisment Campaign was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design in 2021. The A' Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design prize which rewards superior design of logos, posters, infographics, brochures, packaging designs, business cards, book covers, billboards and more.
