Nianfenyuanjiang
Nianfenyuanjiang is a packaging design for a liquor produced in Bozhou, China. The design takes bamboo slips, a traditional Chinese writing medium, as its starting point. Classic quotations from the Tao Te Ching, the book written by the philosopher Laozi, who was born in Bozhou, are applied to the surfaces. The box measures 350 by 120 by 280 millimetres and uses a conventional opening structure, which suits mass production and protects the product. Paper with an imitation wood effect replaces wood and supports environmental protection.
Nianfenyuanjiang Liquor Packaging by Dai Longfeng has been featured as a creative example of communication design by the A' Design Awards. Nianfenyuanjiang Liquor Packaging earned the Bronze A' Design Award in Packaging Design in 2024. The A' Packaging Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design award which celebrates superior design of bottles, boxes, cans, pouches, tubes, cartons, wrappers, bags and more.
