Longnanchun
Longnanchun is a packaging design for a series of Chinese baijiu spirits. The series has three products, named entrepreneur, founder and leader. Each bottle carries a mythical animal taken from the Dunhuang murals: the winged horse, the phoenix and the guardian dragon. The three animals reflect courage, rebirth and steady protection. The bottle form is drawn from the pipa played by the flying fairy of Dunhuang, and the colors are selected from the murals. The bottle and the lid are ceramic, and the box is acrylic.
Longnanchun Chinese Baijiu by Manling Lin was highlighted as a creative illustration of communication design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Longnanchun Chinese Baijiu was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Packaging Design in 2021. The A' Packaging Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design recognition program that recognizes outstanding design of bottles, boxes, cans, pouches, tubes, cartons, wrappers, bags and more.
