Plant Selected
Plant Selected is packaging for a plant-based beverage. The bottle is made of PET and covered with a matte film, and measures 60 mm wide, 60 mm deep and 177 mm high. The design follows a minimalist style inspired by Scandinavian design, with a large area of white space. The key benefit, 6 grams of protein per 100 millilitres, is stated clearly. Many plant-based beverages use busy graphics that show ingredients and product images. The calm layout of Plant Selected is intended to stand out on the shelf and to present the drink as vegan nutrition.
Plant Selected Beverage by Blackandgold Design (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. was selected as an innovative representation of communication design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Plant Selected Beverage won the Bronze A' Design Award in Packaging Design in 2022. The A' Packaging Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design award which honors outstanding design of bottles, boxes, cans, pouches, tubes, cartons, wrappers, bags and more.
