Chick Coin
Chick Coin is an animated advertisement made for a part-time job matching platform for students in Taiwan. The film runs for forty seconds in full high definition at twenty-four frames per second. Two brand characters see the financial difficulties of students shown on a television screen. A magic coin slot then carries the characters into a carefree and cheerful world, and the real world changes as well. The animation combines hand drawing with digital illustration and compositing software. The humorous plot and the visual effects aim to link the brand with young viewers.
Chick Coin Motion Graphic Design by JP SPACE Studio was highlighted as a grand example of communication design by the A' Design Award. Chick Coin Motion Graphic Design received the Bronze A' Design Award in Movie, Video and Animation Design in 2022. The A' Movie, Video and Animation Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design competition which honors outstanding design of feature films, short films, documentaries, animations, music videos, experimental films, commercials, trailers and more.
