Zaotu Shaofang
Zaotu Shaofang is a packaging design for a liquor made with white bentonite, a clay added to the fermentation pit mud. The packaging uses bentonite white as its main color. Mountains, sunlight, clouds, water, trees and birds are combined into a pattern shaped like the Chinese characters for bentonite. The pattern reflects the winemaking environment and the main feature of the product. The box opens from the middle to the left and right, and the inner box moves forward for display. The box is made of special paper with gilding, and the glass bottle is sprayed white with a baked pattern.
Zaotu Shaofang Liquor Packaging by Jun Li has been identified as an outstanding example of communication design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Zaotu Shaofang Liquor Packaging earned the Bronze A' Design Award in Packaging Design in 2022. The A' Packaging Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design prize that rewards exceptional design of bottles, boxes, cans, pouches, tubes, cartons, wrappers, bags and more.
