Qujiang Light Rail
Qujiang Light Rail is a logo design created for a light rail transit line in Xi'an, China. The logo uses five colors and simple lines to form the image of a light rail vehicle. The colors refer to the varied culture of the Qujiang area. The composition suggests movement and states the transport function of the line clearly. The design connects the light rail with the history of Xi'an. The result is a visual identity symbol that presents Qujiang to visitors and gives the city a new emblem.
Qujiang Light Rail Brand Design by Yong Huang was recognized as a creative illustration of communication design by the A' Design Award. Qujiang Light Rail Brand Design earned the Bronze A' Design Award in Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design in 2024. The A' Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design prize that celebrates outstanding design of logos, posters, infographics, brochures, packaging designs, business cards, book covers, billboards and more.
