Wakin Chau
Wakin Chau is a concert stage design created for a world tour completed in 2024. The stage works in two parts. In the first part, six curtains of fire-resistant gray fabric hide the LED screens and the band, while ink-wash projections form a misty mountain scene. Each curtain weighs about 100 kilograms and reaches a height of 1,336 centimeters, so strong mechanical systems lift the fabric quickly. In the second part, the curtains retract and three LED screens create a modern atmosphere for the audience.
Wakin Chau World Tour by B’IN LIVE CO., LTD. was identified as an innovative example of service design by the A' Design Award. Wakin Chau World Tour earned the Bronze A' Design Award in Event and Happening Design in 2025. The A' Event and Happening Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design accolade which rewards exceptional design of trade fairs, award ceremonies, festivals, conferences, exhibitions, concerts, product launches, charity events and more.
