Hues of the Future
Hues of the Future is a series of architectural photographs of an exhibition held at Ghernata Palace during the second edition of Cairo Design Week in Cairo, Egypt. The exhibition presented the 2024 color trends of GLC Paints through four pavilions created by six Egyptian designers: Brutifully Forward, Ha-beita, Reserva 77 and Casino Central. The pavilions were built from wood, gypsum board and paint. A full-frame camera and tilt-shift lenses were used to control perspective, while bracketing balanced the strong contrasts created by large openings and reflective surfaces.
Hues of the Future Architectural Photography by Sara Gaafar was recognized as a grand example of communication design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Hues of the Future Architectural Photography received the Bronze A' Design Award in Photography and Photo Manipulation Design in 2025. The A' Photography and Photo Manipulation Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design prize that celebrates exceptional design of portraits, landscapes, still lifes, photojournalism, fashion shots, architectural images, wildlife captures, sports events and more.
