Designtide Tokyo 2024

Designtide Tokyo is a design event of exhibitions and markets that explores and shares new trends in product design and related fields. Through design, it creates an immersive experience of energy and emotion beyond digital media. Held from 2005 to 2012, it shared design culture from Tokyo with the world. Each year, about 50 invited and selected designers presented works that valued creativity over commerce. In 2024, Designtide Tokyo was revived with a new logo and renewed vision.

A refined palette of vivid red, subtle gold, and blue pink moire balances festive vibrancy with understated sophistication, elevating functional objects into decorative art.

Energy Plus

Energy Plus is a mobile application that simplifies fueling in Korea by reducing a twelve step process to four actions. The main feature, Quick Fuel, lets drivers start refueling and complete payment with a single barcode scan, without cash or physical cards. Preferred fuel type, payment method and loyalty details are registered once and reused at every visit. Real-time fuel prices and station navigation support the choice of station. After each transaction, a digital summary with payment details and rewards information is provided.

Livestream Partner

Intelligent Livestream Partner is a mobile application that assists independent livestream sellers. Smart cards appear in real time and follow each stage of a stream. The cards suggest scripts, group audience questions into reply cards, and give simple diagnostic tips when data becomes unstable. Voice commands complete product listing, removal, ordering, and inventory or price changes without manual steps. A dark interface suits OLED screens and lowers power use. The aim is to support solo streamers who work without a team.

Octyma

Octyma is a brake caliper developed for high performance cars. Octyma has eight pistons arranged in a cross layout. The cross layout optimizes pad pressure distribution and improves braking performance. The caliper is made of high quality cast aluminum, and an optimized casting process supports durability. Taut lines give the caliper a sporty character, and careful detailing creates an elegant result. Four colors are available: yellow, red, carbon bronze and black. The colors bring out the shape and define the character of the caliper.
