Jelly Fresh

Jelly Fresh is a packaging concept for a line of powder seasonings made for the preparation of fish. The design is inspired by the figure of the newspaper boy and recalls the old habit of wrapping fresh fish in paper. A photograph of the newspaper boy is combined with typography, layout and graphic elements to create a link with the consumer. The range includes three flavors and two package formats, so the seasonings are easy to use in the kitchen. A modern and clean layout with a distinct color palette helps the cans stand out on the shelf.

All items were prefabricated off site to allow a three-day installation. Reusable aluminium frames and biodegradable carpets were used.

The series aims to capture the elegant movement and aesthetic of a species that is also an indicator of water quality. Each image is printed on fine art paper, mounted on aluminium and set in a black oak frame with a two centimetre shadow gap. Two limited editions are offered, sized 50 by 50 cm and 80 by 80 cm.
