Amore

Amore is an avant-garde production created to elevate the artistry of performing, conceptual, kinetic, digital, video, and abstract art. Absinthe Production Design

Absinthe

Absinthe is a stage design created for a theatrical play about physics, matter and psychology. The set is built around an oval stage that represents time and can also be read as a galaxy or a continuous loop. Dark reflective panels covered with splattered paint suggest a vast and mysterious universe. A custom laser light sound visualiser allows sound to be seen, because the laser beams are distorted by the frequency of the voices of the actors. Every angle of the stage was tested so the performers could walk, run and jump safely.

The Armor Costume for a Character

The Armor

The Armor is a theatrical costume created for the character Richard III in a stage production of a Shakespeare play. The costume is made from recycled and disused materials. Metal lines are sewn onto a twill jacket, while overlapping leather gaiters form a separate structure joined by leather straps and buckles. A chainmail glove closes the sleeve, and a velvet hat lined with metal strips serves as a helmet. The six parts can be added or removed as the character changes during the play. The design reflects both the king and the vulnerable man within him.

Trolley Coaster Installation

Trolley Coaster

Trolley Coaster is a dynamic installation created for a design exhibition in Pingtung, Taiwan. Two overlapping elevated tracks carry shopping trolleys around a venue of 6600 square metres, linking six themed exhibition areas. The moving trolleys recall the sight and the sound of a supermarket. The tracks were designed and produced by glove puppetry stage cart technicians. The trolleys were borrowed from a retail company and returned for public use after the exhibition. The motors, wheels and tracks were reused for puppetry stage carts, lowering cost and waste.

Good night show

Good Night Show is a television stage design created for a talent show produced in Hong Kong. The set covers a gross built area of 500 square meters and was built at a film studio over nine months. The design recalls a futuristic city, with extensive lighting effects and a look inspired by cyber architecture and space capsules. A revolving platform on each side allows performers to enter and exit. The main stage uses multiple levels so that more than 100 performers can appear in the same area. The structure combines stainless steel and fireproof panels with matte glass and wooden platforms.
