Cathay Pacific IFE

Cathay Pacific In Flight Entertainment is a digital interface for passengers on board aircraft. The system adapts to 14 screen types and operates on Airbus A350, Boeing 777 and Airbus A321 aircraft. A high contrast ratio supports accessibility. The My Journey feature lets passengers personalise their travel timeline, and a library of more than 10,000 media items offers films, television shows, podcasts and shopping. Navigation is possible by touchscreen, handset or seat controls. The Watch Together feature allows synchronised playback with other passengers.

Each year, about 50 invited and selected designers presented works that valued creativity over commerce. In 2024, Designtide Tokyo was revived with a new logo and renewed vision.

Xijiu Matured Liquor

Xijiu Matured Liquor is a packaging design for a Chinese liquor series. The bottle keeps the classic drum silhouette of the brand and refers to the circular form of a piece held in the Palace Museum, a shape linked with completeness and harmony in traditional Chinese culture. Age statements of 15 and 30 years are laser engraved as flowing ribbons. The cap uses a four sided auspicious shape and opens and closes smoothly. Inside, an original woodcut style illustration shows the landscape along the Chishui River and the brewing ingredients. The outer box is easy to carry and store.

Chun Jiang Hua Yue Ye is a Chinese poem, which means that a spring night is calm on the river, a bright moon hangs in the sky, and the fragrance of flowers floats. Inspired by Chinese poems, three poems are used to name different chapters and scenes, full of oriental artistic conception. The immersive experience is not only CJHYY, but also different poetic moods such as Full Ship Star River and Peach and Plum Spring Breeze, each scene switching is 360-degree subversive, so that participants can experience different poetic and picturesque.
